The serious business of
using children in war as soldiers is tackled by the charitable
organisation Operation S.I.C.K (Stop Inciting Children to
Kill). Their brand needed to reflect the seriousness of the
plight of these victims and heighten awareness to the general
public. A strong and hard hitting design was required, developed
to stay in the mind and stand out as a source for further
information. A standard black and white was used to clearly
show what the charity was about with the choices of font face
being Courier for a reportage type effect and a chalk board
script to intensify the contrast between children and the
unfortunate adult issue of war.
The only other colour used is a fairly bright red, for
obvious reasons this combination is strong and clear and
attempts to deliver a simple but crucially important message.
