| As was planned Stressbusting.co.uk
was always likely to receive a high level of press and media
coverage in the hope of initiating the site as a reliable
source of information relating to stress. The image of the
site and its corresponding brand was high on the priority
list with a brief that aimed to introduce Stressbusting.co.uk
as an online standard, indeed the first of its kind in the
UK.
I initially worked with a top London based design firm,
sketching out initial designs. Less fortunate for them,
their lack of Internet awareness disqualified their ideas
and it was left for me to complete the branding work as
well as design the entire site and maintain much of the
content, along with my colleagues at 21st
Century New Media.
The design incorporates a gentle but sturdy feel, intended
to make the user feel calmer and confident about the sound
medical advice that is available at Stressbusting.co.uk.
What was also taken into consideration was a colour scheme
that was kinder to the eye, so as to enhance the content,
less divert away from it.
Indeed, the design also had to be adaptable for future
projects, such as its sister site, The Relaxation Zone,
in which we switched the white background for black and
added some glow, transforming the site into a fun-filled
online portal for relaxing games, music and resources.
