| This site was redeveloped for Amersham
and Wycombe College, an institute for higher education who
offer an impressive range of recognised qualifications, both
for full-time and part-time students.
The original version was entirely revamped to accommodate
an updated front 'splash page', template design and systems
integration. The first aim of the project was to create
a user friendly, cleanly designed site. To this end, the
site structure was extensively planned, which resulted in
the inclusion of an expandable and updateable Java based
navigation bar.
The second main aim of the project was the desire to manage
press release and picture gallery sections online. This
was accomplished through developing a tailored database
driven news and image-publishing system that employs a password
protected online control panel for administration.
My role in the development of this site was the production
of a solid structure and layout that would allow for the
integration of a database system and a huge amount of content
without spoiling the aesthetic value of the site. I was
also responsible for developing the front 'splash page'.
The project was undertaken in conjunction with my colleagues
at 21st Century New
Media Ltd.
